Working out with my friends.

I don’t think I have ever had as much fun working out as I did when I was taking a college class with my friends.

It was a group of the four of us who shared a dorm flat and we were from all different areas.

We really didn’t have much in common but our common idea that we were sadly out of shape and a lot of giggling. I wanted to take the college physical fitness test, but I needed a trainer to get me there. I was able to get a discount if I could sign up with three friends, so I signed all of us up. We went into the program not knowing anything about each other, but we learned quickly. Only one of us had ever been into athletics. Two of us were overweight and sadly out of shape. The personal trainer was able to give us individual exercises that would help us to get into shape. Throughout our entire freshman year, we all worked on our fitness plan. We encouraged each other to do our best and soon it wasn’t just we four, but every girl in the dorm was starting to work out together. We would all pile into a couple cars, go to the smoothie bar and then head to the gym. We loved competing to see who had made the progress every month. Now that I have graduated from college, I find that I miss those girls. There are times when I am on my way to the gym that I want to pick up the phone and call one them. Instead of reunions, I would love to be able to get together and take just one more fitness class together.
