Dad needs help with his technology

If you are somewhere near my age, I guarantee you outside of your typical nine-to-more than four job you also act as an IT specialist.

You actually perform this function for your family, whether you want to or not! If you weren’t aware of this fact yet, then I am quite sure you haven’t been spending enough time home with your parents.

In our family, it’s clear that anybody under the age of 40 years old is a technological genius. My entire family has no clue what they are doing when it comes to utilizing cell phones, gadgets, or the internet in general, and they are always complaining about technology, modern living and digital communications. My Dad is possibly the worst of them all. However, he is convinced that he is a high-tech, up-to-date man. In reality he only gets confused and riled up when he tries to use anything modern. This is why I have to be an expert on all of his gadgets. Recently, I devoted several months of my life to researching up-to-date air conditioners for our dad. I knew for quite a while that he required a new air conditioning plan in his home, because the air felt seriously muggy and strange when I visited. However, all the people in the family had been avoiding the conversation. He would obviously need help arranging the heating & cooling appointment, selecting his own cooling system and figuring out how to honestly utilize the AC plan after it was installed! After that, he still was going to need help reading how to operate the control unit, then unluckily, it was clear that whoever got stuck assisting with the central air conditioning replacement was going to be at the private specialist for the foreseeable future. That’s why, I insisted that he bought a smart control device for his system. Now, when he cannot figure out how to use it, I can change his temperature settings right from home.
