Basically doing my own A/C machine maintenance

When I can do that task, I will no longer need to pay for cooling machine service, I will be able to do every section of it on my own

Every year I am getting quite a bit better at cleaning our A/C machine. I used to just call up a Heating plus Air Conditioning business plus have an HVAC worker do the tune up… A cooling tune up is not too extravagant plus absolutely necessary. I don’t mind the time, effort plus cash spent on it. However, I would honestly love to learn an up-to-date skill. So slowly I have been doing a little of my own cooling machine maintenance. I started out just changing out the air filter once every single month. I felt so alive by that. Then I learned to take the A/C machine apart in order to vacuum plus scrub the inside of it. Next I figured out that the cooling coil gets mold all over it frequently. I now frequently scrub that part. I then found that the reason our A/C machine leaks occasionally is a clog in the condensate drain, most often because of algae. I have cleaned that up from time to time. Now I am moving into liquids. I have added refrigerant to the HVAC machine plus lubrication to the fan motor belt. I believe the next step is being able to deduce worn out or rusted parts. Then I will need to find the proper parts for replacement plus make the A/C repair. When I can do that task, I will no longer need to pay for cooling machine service, I will be able to do every section of it on my own. That is a long time coming though. It is a single thing to scrub a dirty HVAC machine, another honestly to repair a cooling machine. I don’t even know if I have the necessary skill set.
