A really bad start

A few years ago, our partner & I rented a apartment at the seashore.

All of us were planning on having a lovely week for our twenty-fourth birthday. All of us got to the apartment and it was genuinely lovely until the people I was with and I realized there wasn’t a refrigerator in the residing area. There wasn’t a bed in the family room & there were no fixtures in the lavatory. There was no toilet or bathtub, either. We eventually called the rental office & she was honestly apologetic. She said they had given the company’s the wrong dates, however they would be there the next afternoon. I went on to ask her if she expected to stay there without a bed, or a working restroom. She set up a reservation for us at the hotel that was less than a mile from the cabin. We later got to the hotel & it was so warm in the lobby, that I thought I was going to pass out. They told us later that the air conditioner had gone down in the hotel, however the room HVAC was still operating just fine. Later on we got into the room and our partner immediately set the thermostat. In the middle of the night, it go so cold that the people I was with and I were shivering. She got up again and reset the thermostat. It was slowly starting to get a bit warmer & the people I was with and I soon went back to sleep. By the time the people I was with and I woke up, it was so warm and toasty in the room that the people I was with and I couldn’t breathe. I had a honestly terrible feeling that this was just the beginning of a honestly long week. I’m just hoping they quickly get the cabin up and running.
